How it’s made

Every picture is made by hand in the studio. Nothing is printed. The image only appears once the last meter of thread is wound.

The panel is nailed
Birch is cut, sealed and drilled. Every stainless nail is set by hand to the same depth — uneven nails show in the finished surface.

The thread is wound
One length of cotton, nail to nail, in the solved order. For most of those 40 hours the image is unreadable. It resolves in the last few hours.

Framed and crated
Black ash or natural oak, hanging hardware mounted, then packed in a corner-protected crate with your time-lapse link.
